It’s never been more important to talk about diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). The global COVID-19 pandemic and the Black Lives Matter movement have put conversations about systemic inequity and racial injustice front and center. As we work to understand what the path forward will look like, we have the opportunity to create a better world—but only if we can face our history around these issues head-on.
Today, we are releasing our first DEI report to share our numbers and continue the important dialogue around these topics in the tech industry. Our report outlines where we’ve made progress, where we need to improve and which commitments we’re making to cultivate an equitable workplace for current and future team members. As we continue to invest in advancing our efforts, our team’s commitment to championing DEI has never been stronger.
In addition to navigating through the challenges this year has presented, our team has dedicated many hours to serving our communities and taking action against social and racial injustice. As our CEO, Justyn Howard, recently said, “This has long been a focus and priority for Sprout, but like all aspects of this company, we measure ourselves by the work left undone. There’s more to do, and we will.”
We look forward to what’s ahead for Sprout, our team and our communities. To learn more, read the report and our commitments for 2020 and beyond.
